The Almighty Johnsons is a drama comedy television series produced by New Zealand’s TV3 that premiered in February of 2011.
Created by James Griffin and Rachel Lang The Almighty Johnsons follows the story of the four Johnson brothers who are your typical New Zealand men but with one notable distinction â they are descendants from Norse Gods. The only thing is their powers are not all that powerful and to make matters worse they are not fully under their control.

Jared Turner was born in New Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand on April 12, 1978. His family moved to Sydney, Australia, in 1980. Jared grew up living in the western suburbs of Sydney.
Jared graduated from Theatre Nepean, University of Western Sydney in 2000 at the age of 22.
He went on to act in numerous theatre productions, both in Australia and abroad, as well as local TV drama, “All Saints” (1998), before landing a lead role on the award-winning New Zealand feature film, Fracture (2004).
Upon returning to New Zealand, Jared was guest cast in acclaimed NZ comedy-drama, “Outrageous Fortune” (2005), followed by regular appearances in the TV series, “Go Girls” (2009).
Jared’s international film career began with a series of small roles in productions such as 30 Days of Night (2007) and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2009).

Trivia
His Great-grandmother, Henrietta Godinet, played opposite Gary Cooper in the 1953 classic, Return To Paradise. She also starred alongside English actor, Denholm Elliott, in Pacific Destiny (1956).
Studied acting at Theatre Nepean in Sydney, Australia. Graduated in 2000.
Daughter, Miah-Jean Lila Raven Turner, born December 2006.
